Springs Ensemble Theatre creates intimate live theatre in Colorado Springs, develops new work and brings artists and audiences together through diverse storytelling.
Known as SET, the company produces bold, engaging work in spaces that bring audiences close to the action. Our productions are created by local artists working together as actors, directors, designers, technicians, producers and volunteers.

Springs Ensemble Theatre produces intimate, live theatre in collaboration with artists throughout the Pikes Peak Region. By telling diverse stories on our stage, we explore problems and examine choices central to the human condition.
We believe that theatre should engage its audience and build community by exercising the conscience, entertaining the mind and inspiring the imagination.

The Fifty-Niner Speakeasy
SET’s primary home is an intimate performance space inside the Fifty-Niner Speakeasy in Old Colorado City.
Patrons can enjoy food and drinks before the performance and during intermission.
Studio West at PPSC
SET presents select productions at Studio West, a flexible black box theatre at Pikes Peak State College’s Downtown Campus.
The venue offers an intimate theatre experience through SET’s partnership with PPSC.
An Artist-Led Nonprofit Theatre
SET was formed in 2008 by Chad Siebert, Lisa Siebert and Steve Emily. The company opened its first season in February 2010 with Talk Radio by Eric Bogosian.
SET incorporated as a nonprofit organization and received federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in 2009. Today, the company continues to be led and sustained by artists, volunteers, members, donors, patrons and community partners.
As an all-volunteer company, SET depends on people who give their time, skills and resources to make intimate live theatre possible.
